Our principal interest is original historical paper written wholly or substantially by hand, especially material from the nineteenth century.

What matters to us
Handwriting preserves information that often survives nowhere else. We are especially drawn to documents that retain names, addresses, occupations, family relationships, business activity, payments, travel, property or other details of everyday life.
A single handwritten invoice or letter may be interesting; a group of related papers can reconstruct an entire family, business or local history.
Irish focus
We are particularly interested in Irish letters, invoices, receipts, account books, family papers, estate records, business documents and other manuscript material that records everyday life, trade, property, family history and local history.
Victorian focus
The nineteenth century is a central area for us, especially handwritten correspondence, commercial records, bills, receipts, ledgers, estate papers and manuscript documents retaining original names, dates, addresses and provenance.
Acquisitions
We welcome direct approaches from families, collectors, estates and private owners with nineteenth-century letters, invoices, receipts, family papers, manuscript material, business archives and related historical documents.
We are physically based in Gothenburg, Sweden and can discuss material located in Europe.
